  7.           extractres - filter to extract resources from a PostScript
  8.           document

  10.      SYNOPSIS
  11.           extractres [ -m ] < document.ps > output.ps
  12.  
  13.      DESCRIPTION
  14.           Extractres extracts resources (fonts, procsets, patterns,
  15.           files, etc) appearing in a PostScript document, and puts
  16.           appropriate %%IncludeResource comments in the document
  17.           prologue. The extracted resources are written to files with
  18.           the same name as the resource, and an appropriate extension.
  19.           The pipeline
  20.  
  21.                        extractres file.ps | includeres >out.ps
  22.  
  23.           will move all resources appearing in a document to the
  24.           document prologue, removing redundant copies. The output
  25.           file can then be put through page re-arrangement filters
  26.           such as psnup or pstops safely.
  27.  
  28.           The -m option combines the resources of the same name into
  29.           one file; this must be used for some programs which download
  30.           fonts a bit at a time.
